The project for implementing the plan of action for reduced seabirds and sea turtles by-catches in industrial fisheries across West Africa was launched last Tuesday in Somone, in the Mbour Department.
BirdLife International is making available full scholarships for MSc and PhD-level research into fisheries impacts on seabirds and turtles in West Africa. These scholarships are awarded as part of the project Minimising bycatch of seabirds and sea turtles in West African industrial fisheries, funded by the MAVA Foundation.
